2009-2010 Reading Rockets

In 2009, the Reading Girls Varsity Basketball team captured its first Middlesex League title in 30 years and advanced to the Division 2 North Final for the second consecutive year, finishing with a conference 17-1 record and 21-3 record overall.  After graduating five Middlesex League All-Stars, this year's squad returned seven players and added six more.  The Rockets are determined to continue their tradition of achieving excellence both on the court and in the classroom.

Camps/Clinics 

Reading Girls Basketball Camps/Clinics are geared towards girls entering Kindergarten through 9th-grade and are open to residents and non-residents of the Town of Reading.

Memorable Trip

RMHS Varsity Team played in KSA Holiday Tourney in Disney World.... From December 26-31, 2006, the Rockets traveled to Florida for the first time in recent team history to compete in a National High School Basketball Tournament held at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex.  Reading defeated Nease High School (FL) and fell to Orange High School (NJ) for a 1-1 split.  The team also participated in two 3-hour Disney Y.E.S. (Youth Education Series) Seminars:  "Keepers of the Kingdom" (Animal Kingdom) and "Leadership:  Inside Track" (Epcot).  The team represented Reading with pride and exhibited great sportsmanship!  Congratulations on a successful and memorable trip!
